Dear Students, Parents and Community Members,

“I believe that education is all about being excited about something. Seeing passion and enthusiasm helps push an educational message.” – Steve Irwin

It is both an honour and a privilege to serve as the principal of a school that has a legacy of more than five decades and which has stood as a beacon of learning, character, and community — shaping generations of students and nurturing dreams that have touched every corner of society.

I feel immensely proud not only in the students’ current achievements but also in the remarkable accomplishments of its alumni who have made their mark across diverse fields – be it academics, business, arts, public service or medicine. Their success is a testament to the strong foundation built here and the values we strive to instil in every learner.

The school prides itself on academic excellence, holistic development, and a nurturing environment where students are motivated and empowered to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and productive members of a dynamic global society. Education here is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations.

Fifty-three years is not merely a measure of time — it is a reflection of shared values, relentless pursuit of knowledge, and belief in the power of education to transform lives. As we look back, we celebrate the countless milestones, the vibrant memories, and the spirit of community that continues to define the school. Today, as we look ahead, let us carry forward this rich heritage with renewed purpose — to continue inspiring minds, igniting passions, and cultivating leaders for tomorrow.

Now as the world goes through rapid transformations and NEP 2020 aims to recognise the need to evaluate ‘high order skills’ such as creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, visualisation and idea generation, so does the experience of childhood. Today’s children are growing up in a digital, diverse, and global environment which shapes their outlook and the future. The school is just the right place for it — as the future of any nation resides within the precincts of the school.

Keeping pace with this, the world of teachers is also expected to change dramatically throughout the 21st century and beyond. There is a paradigm shift in the way teaching and learning is delivered.

Our dedicated staff works passionately to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging space where every child is encouraged to discover their potential and grow into confident, compassionate, and responsible individuals. Whether in academics, arts, athletics, or service, we encourage our students to strive for excellence and to embrace lifelong learning.

At Gnyan Dham, we believe that education is a collaborative effort involving students, educators, families, and the wider community. To every student, teacher, alumni, and parent who has walked these halls — thank you for being part of our legacy. Together, let us honour the past and embrace the future with hope, pride and determination.

I, as the head of this institution, invite you to explore our website to learn more about our programs, achievements, and the many opportunities we offer. Together, let’s continue to build a school culture rooted in respect, integrity, and a love of learning.

“Our job is to create rooms filled with students’ voices. Not to be the main voice.”

Please continue to stay connected through our newsletters, website, and school communications. Your involvement makes a meaningful difference, and we value your voice in shaping the learning environment we all strive to create.

Thank you for being a valued part of the Gnyan Dham family.

Warm regards,
Mr Sandeep Kumar Marhatta
